What our CPH Graduates have to say about the diploma:
Overall the course has exceeded my expectations. I really liked the ethos, the mix of holistic approach, creativity, experiential, academia and individuality. By individuality I mean that we have been supported to become better versions of the therapists we are. Within the Homeodynamic model I have now a whole range of concepts, terms, theories, examples and experiences that inform my thinking.
“The Diploma in Integrative Psychosexual Therapy is a progressive course, it was enlightening and informative. I enjoyed it very much.”
“I found the course extremely valuable and life changing. I particularly valued the first year, which required students to participate in extensive reflective learning and practice. This has remained one of the most valuable aspects of the course for me. The grounding of the professional work within the personal exploration, learning and growth, made the course a really rich experience and, in my work providing psychosexual therapy within a gynaecology department at a NHS hospital, I draw on this learning all the time.”
“The Diploma in Integrative Psychosexual Therapy is a very good basis for working with couples at any stage of their relationship, and with a wide range of presenting issues. Whether a couple presents with sexual issues or not, sexual health will be a part of the overall focus on their relationship. The homeodynamic model helps me to think about both individuals I work with, and with couples, and sits comfortably with my initial counselling model.”
“I have found the course challenging and enlivening. I have enjoyed the way the theory has been presented, and much of my learning has been through valuable self-development which has been encouraged and supported throughout. I feel much more grounded and knowledgeable to work effectively as a therapist in this universally important area.”
“I was afraid and embarrassed about doing the course and going into the unknown. But the course had a good support system, and I loved the idea of having a buddy with whom I could go over what I had learnt, discuss issues I was unsure about, explore and make sense of my learning. I gained medical, mental, physical, and emotional knowledge that has given me a wide-ranging and diverse understanding of the many psychosexual issues that arise for couples and individuals.”
